Pinyin : Bai Ji

Botanical : Bletilla striate (Thunb.) Reichb. f.

Origin :Through out southern China

Preparation : The drug is collected from august to october, root boiled or steamed for 5 minutes,then dried in the sun ,cut into slices, or ground into powder.

Properties : Bitter, Slightly cold

Meridians : Lung

Actions & Indications :Stopping bleeding, relieving swelling and promoting tissue regeneration.

Contraindications : Not to use in cases of hemoptysis with infection heat.
