Bai Fu Zi

Pinyin : Bai Fu Zi

Botanical : Typhonium Giganteum Engl.

Origin :Hebei, Shanxi, Sichuan, Gansu, Shandong.....

Preparation : The rhizomes are removed outer bark and processed with alumen, licorice or ginger , then dried in the sun.

Properties : Warm, Acrid

Meridians : Heart, Liver, Kidney, Spleen

Actions & Indications :Expelling dampness to reduce phlegm, Expelling wind to relieve convulsions. It is used in treatment of stroke, facial paralysis, headache, migraine, and other syndromes.

Contraindications : Not to use in cases of pregnancies.Raw Bai Fu Zi is toxic and not to be taken internally. It is used freshly only for external appliction.
